For a summer picnic, I made a Waldorf salad and a cucumber yogurt dip. I had them in the kitchen at the same time, and it gave me an idea that turned into this ginger yogurt salad. It isn’t a green salad, but rather a creamy, tangy yogurt mixture. Borrowing from the cool, yogurt-based side salads of Indian cuisine, this salad combines raisins, walnuts, and curry for a recipe that’s one part Waldorf salad and one part cucumber yogurt dip.
