We’ll tackle the gluten-free diet and celiac disease a bit at a time, so you’ll leave feeling like you’ve got a grasp on your lifestyle – from celiac disease testing, to hidden gluten and reading labels, to dining out and more!

This lecture gives you the basics and more. Everything you need when you are first diagnosed or if you just want a referesher. Anne will cover everything from what is safe & what is not, the new labeling law, how to keep it healthy and how to safely order in a restaurant.

This topic will cover why everyone should avoid gluten and sugar. You will learn how gluten and sugar cause damaging inflammation and how to prepare delicious meals that are gluten and sugar free.

Whether you are trying to feed a crowd or just yourself, our very own Fest team member Sara Vollmer will show you how to make a delicious gluten-free breakfast. Make sure to come hungry!

Taylor Miller

Topic: Two Easy Quinoa Pasta Recipes by Living Now
Location: Exhibit Hall

Learn how to make two delicious recipes with Taylor Miller of GlutenAway: Sundried Penne Quinoa Pasta & Dairy Free Mac and Cheese.  Each recipe is top eight allergen friendly and made with Living Now’s Quinoa Pasta.  Taylor Miller is a teenager who has been living gluten free for six year.  If a teenager can make these recipes, anyone can!

Topic: Healthy Alternatives: Simple Changes for a Healthy Lifestyle

A class that will feature some basic nutritional knowledge, Easy to remember facts to take home with you, Healthy recipes & samples, why supplements are an important part of a healthy lifestyle and a free workout card and instructional video to take home with you as well.

Jules Shepard

Topic: Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches

Jules will use her own baking mix to make Chocolate Chip Cookies from scratch, and then combine those with Coconut Bliss ice cream to make delicious Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. You’re going to want to sample these, trust us!
